These two paragraphs are talking about how there are many kids on a waiting list for a summer enrichment program and how some states are trying to make a difference by building education centers.

Pathos: In the beginning of paragraph one, it says how there were a lot of eager engaged kids and vibrant teachers. They were eager and engaged to get in the program and the teachers were vibrant because they wanted to teach. It expresses emotion within children.

Pathos in the last three days

In the last three days, we have been learning about pathos. Pathos describes an emotional feeling you get while reading, writing or anything else that you might do during the day. In class while reviewing our blogs about pathos, our classmates had mixed emotions such as sadness, happiness, and awareness. Pathos is a very emotional feeling and sensation you can bring to your readers. When you read something that has pathos you bring out how you truly feel about the writers point of view and what he/she is trying to express to the reader.

Time magazine

This image has horrifying and shocking qualities to it, a women with no nose who questions her self every day if she should leave her home country in Pakistan. To us this photograph is very emotional because we think to ourselves how would it feel to have no nose?
